Outdoor Channel will not film shows in Colorado if gun bills pass

While Colorado state senators argue their way through a marathon debate over a slate of gun-control bills, another company has vowed not to do business in Colorado if the legislation passes.

A producer for the Outdoor Channel, a California company that produces television shows about guns and hunting in Colorado, emailed Republican Sen. Steve King on Tuesday warning him that not only will he film the shows in a more gun-friendly state, but also that he would warn hunters to stay away.

“The message we will take to our viewers and listeners is that these proposed laws are so dangerous to hunters and any other person, be she a fisherman or a skier who brings a handgun into the state for self-defense, that we cannot recommend hunting, fishing or visiting Colorado,” wrote executive producer Michael Bane. “We reach millions of people, and, quite frankly, we have a credibility that Colorado government officials can no longer match.”

progressives are trying like hell to turn this state, COLORADO” into another Chicago, NY, LA where crime is out of control so they can hide behind those criminals and use them for their private army so they can engage in any deviate activity they can think of, Progressives are users, abusers. thieves, liars , cheats and just plain rotten with no moral code as we have seen in the last few years. They would love to see the people wallow in the filth they create.

No hunting, fishing, or any other recreational trips to Colorado if their Anti-gun agenda isn’t dropped immediately.

That is a good move. Why are they staying in CA though because they definitely NOT gun friendly? Look what Feinstein is trying to do and most of the CA delegates in the house and senate are salivating over her attempt to grab our guns. Doesn’t make sense to me.

My wife and I love to visit Colorado (part of which was once North Texas). We have spent many weeks there on numerious occations and added many thousands of dollars to the local and state economies. Due to aging family members, we have not been able to spend time at one of our favorite places near South Fork. I was looking forward to spending 6 to 8 weeks at Fun Valley and renewing friendships at a small church in South Fork. BUT if these laws pass, we will no longer set foot in Colorado. I feel that many others will boycott this once fine state!

Fantastic idea from the Outdoor Channel. To really make the point hunters, fishermen and women, tourists, and any outdoor related group should make it very clear that they will boycott the state until these feel good measures are abandoned Colorado will lose significant amounts of tourists dollars, and better yet will be publicly chastised for their pro-crime behavior. Magpul may the first of many firms leaving them, taking jobs, and taxes along the way. Many others should follow and go to far more gun friendly states.

Time to boycott Colorado and any associated with them!

Yes! I live in Colorado and I love to hear these companies saying they will punish Colorado for punishing its law-abiding citizens!! Come to the Crowne Plaza in Colorado Springs on 3-23 for “Guns Fight Colorado!” Wild Bill just posted a video about it on YouTube: Be warned – Colorado is a test case for the rest of the nation. Let’s show those liberal progressives we aren’t going to lie down. They can pass all the illegal laws they want. Doesn’t matter. We’re not lying down.
