Wisconsin GOP Attacks Pro-Gun Activist, Todd Welch

Wisconsin GOP Attacks Pro-Gun Activist, Todd Welch

When I learned how the Wisconsin Republican Party was mistreating Todd Welch, I got angry.

You see, Todd is the Wisconsin State Coordinator for Campaign for Liberty. I count him as a friend.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Todd in the trenches and he’s an ideal champion for the conservative cause and Wisconsin gun rights.

He’s young, energetic, smart, politically-savvy and most important rock solid in his pro-gun views and defense of all things liberty.

And just like Ron Paul, he’s a real gentleman – just the type of rare talent conservatives need to encourage.

Todd was instrumental in fighting alongside me and Wisconsin Gun Owners (WGO) during the last session for Constitutional Carry. And he’s an honorary WGO member, too.

Republicans would rather eat their young than back a real conservative . TEA PARTY !!!

I was one of the first members of the Tea Party when it was actually the Porkulous Party held in downtown Seattle. I now find the so called Tea Party to be so out of touch with political reality as to be laughable. Look what y’all did to us. The idiot self-proclaimed leader of the Tea Party Express rolled into Las Vegas (I was there) and got everyone thinking the only “true” conservative running from the R party was Sharon (voted worst legislator by her peers twice) Angle. The other two electable conservative candidates were rebuffed and Angle nominated. The other two were polling 2/1 against Harry Reid but the TP gave us probably the only candidate who could lose to Harry. Now we have Harry for 6 more years blocking even bringing any bills passed by the House to the floor in the Senate and our majority was blocked by a couple of other fools with their inane ideas about Birth Control and Rape! Define what you mean by a “real” conservative please. My definition is to nominate anyone more conservative than the D’s that are running this country into the ground. Like Goldwater–go to far right and you can’t win so we go very far left as a country!

Would you rather have people who really believe in less government and lower taxes or Democrat-Lite who manage the gains of the Democrats and take off the rough edges as we slide into bankruptcy?

Sounds like Rove has got people in Wis. Time for him along with people like Christie to go or call themselves something else.

Congress should just plain quit and go home or some place else that begins with an ‘ H ‘ . The less they do the better off we all will be . Dump the stupid a$$e$ , stop wasting the money ; a barrel of monkeys could do a better job . If you’re not sick and tired of getting your pocket picked ; having you and your kids brain washed and morally degraded , lied to by an illegal usurper and ignored by a bunch of turds to dishonest and cowardly to do what’s right then ride them all out of town on a rail . Start by selecting volunteers out of every community to do what needs to be done . Every one that can help gets a chance , just we the people doing whats Constitutional and needed . No pork barrel bull$hit ; no greese my palm projects . Don’t get yourself elected ; you wouldn’t want to get a big head ?

It certainly appears the RINOs are circling the wagons against any Conservative influence.

That’s the way I feel, and I have done so sometimes in the past!
I will NOT back any RINOs and I shall happily change my political party to Independent until we get the Tea Party into a fully recognized party!

        • marcyharris92

          February 6, 2013 at 6:05 pm

What is your definition of a RINO? The Tea Party will never be a real party and if it is will be about as likely to win an election as the other fringy items like the Socialist Workers Party and the Communist party of America. Guys. Get a grip.

            February 6, 2013 at 6:48 pm

RINO is a person with no core beliefs besides perpetuating himself and who sides with the Republican Party because it presents better career advancement than the Democrats. See Charlie Crist, Ahhnold.

UHH, have you noticed what we have sitting in the kings seat on Air Force 1? Some times he even spends a night or two at 1600 Pennsylvania AVE. Socialist if ever there was one.

Now do you think we need a new political party???

    • marcyharris92

      February 6, 2013 at 6:06 pm

A third party can ruin the chances of Republican by being a spoiler but will never ever win. History will relegate it to the trash heap of history along with Ross Perot and Ralph Nader.

      • gotroy22

        February 6, 2013 at 6:47 pm

Third Party is the lazy man way to bail on fighting RINOs.

If the current Republicans dont make a stand against the demonizercrats, they must be replaced with true Constitution believing conservatives!!

  9. colleenf

    February 5, 2013 at 5:11 pm

Seems there is a real cold war going on here……….the dems are trying to destroy the Republicans, the RINO ruling elites in DC are trying to destroy the true conservatives and TEA party folks………..and all the while We The People are getting shafted with more taxes and less liberties!
Just shoot the lot of them! Simple solution for a simpleton problem!
    I wish!
Actually, I think they will mutually self destruct.

What I think will happen is that someone will invade over the Southern Border, and these jokes of elected officials will have to drop everything and actually fight someone else—also, they will want all of us to back them, but, if all of you feel like I do—I’ll back the Constitution, NOT any elected “representative!”

    February 6, 2013 at 12:20 am

This is disgraceful! Just who does the Republicans represent? Not me, any more! I hope Todd Welch can win on this, I certainly will do all I can to help!

When are the republican party going to wake up and kick out these RINO’S as they are clearly NOT forwarding the ideals of the party. Clean your own house before you go after someone else’s.

Its time to replace the gop with a new conservative party. The gop has lost its way and is becoming more like the dems; at least the leadership has.

  13. marcyharris92

    February 6, 2013 at 5:57 pm

I agree that the R party shouldn’t be targetting Todd if it is because of his 2nd amendment stand. Folks, the campaign for liberty group is the old Ron Paul group and probably gave us Obama for the second term. Romney is light years better than Obama, but some of you who call everyone RINO’s except folks that go to church with you or the never-will-be-elected oddball sector of the party that supported Ron Paul should really think about what your “principaled” vote or refusal thereto is costing the country in real terms of Liberty. Time to embrace Reagan’s broad tent again folks and stop calling those who agree with us 60% of the time RINO enemies. Fools!

    • gotroy22

      February 6, 2013 at 6:54 pm

The trouble is you want to elect those who agree with Obama 40% of the time. Why bother?

The GOP has a lot of trolls doing there darndest to keep people from uniting and presenting a reasonable conservative platform or set of beliefs. If the conservatives were to do that it would probably attract a lot of disjointed democrats who have been left behind by the new DNC. The GOP goes after Welch as he did not sit down and shut up. We have Rove declare war on the Tea Party just to walk any bad words back. After all they still need our money and our votes. I would say deny the GOP both. Don’t donate any money to the national party and just donate directly to the candidate you support. Vote only for the candidate you support don’t vote just for R. A third party or at least a conservative bloc of votes and money can swing a lot of elections especially the local ones.
As far the GOP trolls who say it can’t be done go back to your hole.

It appears that the northern states of Wisconsin & Minnesota super cold weather has frozen the brains of the electorate & those in elected office! I have a winter visitor from Mn next door to me & he thinks that Jesse Ventura was the greatest gov the state ever had. I am afraid to ask about the unfunny Al Franken & how he ILLEGALLY was voted (?) into office. People, we have to rid the republican party of the RINOS like this turd & the rest of them! We need to concentrate on the 2014 congressional elections & put real conservatives in office, enough to take control of the Senate & improve the numbers in the House!!! This is the only way we can stop the obamaliar!!!!!!
