The Mayor on the other hand is a REAL American , I congratulate him !

    • rs1123

      January 25, 2013 at 5:22 pm

And the legal council too, for saying ‘such an action would be un-enforceable.’

  4. Gray2Hairs

    January 25, 2013 at 5:14 pm

A demonstration of ignorance. The person leaving is an idiot and should be fired. I don’t care if he was “uncomfortable” as that is his right but not to take rights away from others.

    • rs1123

      January 25, 2013 at 5:22 pm

Probably he was uncomfortable because his shorts were crawling up his… rear.

    • Rattlerjake

      January 25, 2013 at 8:39 pm

It is actually discrimination, no different than violating freedom of speech, or freedom of religion, etc. If he got up and left the room due to a persons religious preference or apparel, left because he didn’t like what was said, or because there were women in the room, it would be no different than violating this man’s Constitutional rights by first requesting him not to carry (check his weapon), or leaving. This jerk needs to be immediately fired, no excuse. The attorney backed it up saying there was no grounds for the motion, and it could not be enforced anyways.

  5. rs1123

    January 25, 2013 at 5:19 pm

So the councilman wanted to disarm the only known honest, peaceful citizen present with a gun, saying it was ‘not necessary’ for him to have it. Does the councilman have x-ray vision? How does he know that someone else isn’t there with a gun and plans something bad? Would that bad guy say ‘Oh, I’ll give my weapon over to the police also…’

What an idiot. A self-righteous, sanctimonious, short-sighted liberal IDIOT. I will bet $100 he’s a Democrat (or left of).

Just as stupid as the Denny’s that asked the police officers to leave because a customer was scared that one of them was visibly carrying a gun. Another total blithering idiot with an IQ of 90.

    • Fred_K

      January 25, 2013 at 5:54 pm

You give the blithering idiot too much credit. I would say IQ of a warm turd.

      • wminaz

I think warm turds would take offense, although I personally fo not converse with warm turds.

    • TexasOlTimer

      January 26, 2013 at 4:39 am

Since when is it the right of any person – government employee, elected official, or another citizen – to tell me or anyone else what we “need” or “don’t need” in the way of personal protection? I may not “need” that revolver or semi-automatic of whatever caliber for the protection of myself and my family, but I have the right to make that decision for myself. No self-righteous, sanctimonious, short-sighted liberal jerk (substitute your favorite 4-letter word that can’t be used here) can tell me what I “need.” Since when does someone have the right to trample on my rights because they are “offended” or “uncomfortable?” Maybe I’m uncomfortable having such self-righteous jerks in my presence and I’m certainly offended, but that doesn’t get them removed from MY presence!

The government employee or OUR employee since WE are the government should be terminated and an election should be held to replace the fool that wants to limit OUR rights under the Constitution. He should NOT be allowed to run for office again…. Who does he think he is?

Typical obama a hole trying to make one of our vets feel like he the bad guy, the video clearly showed who the scum bag was when he walked out. I was displeased with those who voted with the scum bag also.

God bless our military and all vets and gun owners of America.

With guns, we are citizens, without guns, we are subjects and that’s the way democrats and obama wants us defenseless.

    • Bandit

      January 25, 2013 at 7:13 pm

With total gun disarmament you then get a total DICTATOR and then you get the genocide that goes with siad dictatorship.

If I were the genetleman that was addressing the issue of the 2nd Amendment, I would be there every council meeting and see how many times the councilman got up and walked out. If he contiually walked out, he would be extremely ineffective in representing the people of his ward.

Yes that councilman is a JERK and it’s people like him that make this country great???? NOT!!! He’s a PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY THIS COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL QUICKLY UNDER THE PRESENT ALLEGED LEADERSHIP!!! That man makes me ashamed to be associated as an American with him. Now the MAYOR, Great Many Kudos to him for standing up for the conceal carry holder and the rest of the council who were in favor of the citizen with the CCW.

These people think they can Change the Constitution by just a quick Vote… Thought these elected officials were Servants, not Dictators. I agree, Replace him for quitting his REQUIRED job.. Or, Fire him for Failing to do the Job he is Paid to Do…

    • Daniel F. Melton

      January 25, 2013 at 6:25 pm

Put the idiot and his “second” that voted with him through a boot camp on the Constitution. Make the lessons brutal, so they learn fast.

    • Sam W

      January 30, 2013 at 10:23 pm

He should be fined for leaving the meeting and causing everyone else to waste their valuable time. The guy was within his rights to carry….

Isn’t it amazing that Obamanation and the demon-crats and other leftist-marxists tells us that we are not to judge all muslims just because of the actions of a few “radical” muslims (which isn’t true), but they go hog-wild judging all law-abiding gun owing citizens over the actions of few radical nut cases. Did I hear some one says “double-standards”?

It’s interesting that the same creeps had also objected to the voters hat …. sounds like someone that just wants to control others every action! Yep he’s a demo and acted like a gay one at that!
Congrats to the Mayor and Legal Council and Council Members that upheld their Oath of OFFICE!
It’s about time some elected officials did!

  18. Jaime Cancio

    January 25, 2013 at 6:40 pm

The question, as this councilman swore by his word and honor to support and affirm The Constitution and all the laws of the United States of America; by his own personal demonstration and actions he demonstrated complete violation to his oath of office by disavowing current laws and Constitution and by his leaving the chambers he has clearly demonstrated violations in ethics, loyality and honesty. Where is the call, the action, to remove this councilman from his position of authority as he has demonstrated he cannot be trusted to carry out the oath of his office and the duties thereof. Second point, well made by the mayor, all too often Americans citizens are forced to comply with unlawful laws impose upon them by individuals and groups of individual who actions carry no, absolutely no, power of law. Time to call those persons to task. Third, if the topic at hand had been the safety of my children at school; I don’t want this councilman involved in any decisions affecting the safety of my children while at school. He has demonstrated he does not concern himself with the overt safety of anyone; and particularly children in school. He would rather the criminal element be free to murder, harm and terrorized people; and there has to something God awful sick about a person who would allow that to happen.

Great! mayor Scott Dudley of Oak Harbor, Washington. a lesson here for all American politicians…

  20. Dr. Evil

    January 25, 2013 at 7:14 pm

Totally awesome. Get people with a CCW to show up to ALL the meetings and make sure the left wing wackos know it, then they will just leave and as long as you have a quorum you can take care of city business without them.

  21. dasbunker

    January 25, 2013 at 7:16 pm

    Great job Mayor!
That sorry excuse of a councilman and the lackey that seconded should be prosecuted for
not upholding his OATH OF OFFICE.

I took a similar oath when joining the army some 36 years ago.
This oath still guides my life.

I love this, but he forget the Big question, are they willing to commit treason against the U.S. Contitution and the 2nd Amendemnt? If so, the Sergent at Arms should have arrested the Counsil member on the spot! I hold a JD and I know the right questions to ask. I fact all people that attend Counsil meeting need to ask this question. If they say No, they have committed treason…!!!

I’m wondering —- if enough concealed carry permit holders showed up at enough government meetings (where it is actually lawful, of course) could we rid ourselves of the liberal curse on our country as they all left as this dunderhead did?

  26. worldwatchman
