Louisiana Lawmakers Vote to Give Themselves More Gun Carry Rights Than Their Constituents

Apparently lawmakers in the state of Louisiana think they are more trustworthy than the constituents they claim to represent.
Check it out:

Senate Bill 651, authored by Sen. Bret Allain, R-Franklin, would give lawmakers nearly the same rights under the law (which is still an infringement IMO) as police officers in regards to gun carry.

The House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice voted 10-2 to pass the bill, which will now go the floor of the House for a vote.

According to a report by NOLA.com, lawmakers say the bill is needed because they are the target of threats, while opponents say it’s hypocritical.
