Nevada says no to gun law, despite Bloomberg’s anti-gun ad blitz

Nevadans may live in “a world apart,” according to their new advertising campaign, but they sure know what they want… and don’t want. Today Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval (R) vetoed a gun control measure passed by the Nevada Legislature that would have mandated background checks on all gun sales and transfers in the Silver State.

Nevada gun owners, gun advocates and Second Amendment champions shouted a collective “Hell Yes!” loud enough to be heard by Nanny Bloomberg and his gang of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, who had blanketed the Silver State with hundreds of thousands of dollars in radio and TV ads telling Nevadans to pass SB221, even though it would have done nothing to stop the rash of headline-grabbing shooting massacres.

SB221 would not have stopped most criminals from getting guns, yet the bill would have required even private citizens selling firearms to each other in Nevada to do a government-approved background check on each other… even parents who wanted to “gift” their guns to their adult children.
