Police, ‘anti-gun’ prosecutor clash with soldiers in area around Fort Hood [VIDEO]

The conflict between law enforcement and armed military personnel in the community around Fort Hood, one of America’s largest military bases, has recently and repeatedly involved the issue of gun control — and the tension has been exacerbated in part by an Obama-supporting prosecutor described as a “bandleader” of anti-gun efforts in the heavily conservative community.

The conflict reached a fever pitch last month, when Texas police arrested an active-duty Army sergeant for “rudely displaying” a hunting rifle. The sergeant, C.J. Grisham, established an online legal defense fund after he was, in his words, “illegally arrested and disarmed” for carrying the firearm.

“While out hiking with my son through backcountry roads to help him earn his Eagle Scout rank, I was illegally arrested and disarmed without cause. I was thrown in jail and my lawfully owned weapons were confiscated without receipt or notice,” Grisham wrote on the website for the defense fund.

Lots more of this to come from all law enforcement agencies.

I say stay off the radar scope of the local authorities and share as little with your Doctor and Employer as possible.

    • OldDocBen

I say stand and fight. The more you hide the more they shovel manure on you and the Constitution.

      • Shagnasty1

I don’t think fliteking meant to hide. I agree with him when he advises to stay under the radar. You can’t even talk to your doctor anymore without his required reporting to the government under Obamacare your mental state. Thanks to the Democrats and coward non-conservative Republicans Big Brother is watching and is more than happy to detain you.

In the end the cops can not win this one. There is simply more of us than there are of you. Not the first time however I have seen this. In Colorado Springs they arrested a full Col for drunk driving. Problem with this is that he had just come from down range for about a month and was simply traveling home. The cops were not happy to see me with two armed MP’s who refused to give up their side arms. I did get a nice letter from the Col. however for saving him and his family embarrassment from the incident.

99% are pussies who will meekly surrender their guns.

I would say not so much pussies but, needing the right kind of leadership that Obama wishes to get rid of in the Military.

Some cops could not meet minimum I Q standards of, say 95-105 (average, on most standard I Q tests).
Some tend to be bullies. Some are sociopaths. And some are brave, heroic, and intelligent. The badge means nothing. The character, intellect, and sensible judgment of the person wearing it mean everything–qualities which are, sometimes, hard to determine before-the-fact, and expensive to employ.

Oh, I have really nothing against the Police and I agree with what you have to say. However I was relateing that the incident was not all that uncommon for any number of reasons including yours.

  • Work2SnowSki

It would be nice to hear that these officers and or prosecutor were getting assaulted and have this same guy come to their defense and save their bacon. Maybe then they’d have a little respect for their office and the citizens to whom they work for. I’d be tempted to walk away.

Why isn’t the Islamic that killed many at Ft. Hood in court and paying for his devilish crimes?

  • https://www.facebook.com/app_scoped_user_id/100001024855278/ Richard Jorgensen

Now that is a prosecutor who should be shot.

  • OLD KUTE

If this organization is, what is claims to be, it would assist in legal action against the police and the state for violating this man’s constitutional right to bear arms. It is time we took the offensive in the courts and make the lawmakers either put up or shut up. I am tired of people who are twisting the law to deny our rights in many areas.

I ran across our local DA a few years back, his dead giveaway suggestion was “voluntarily surrender my firearm” and he’d drop any charges, My solution was “no” let’s go to court. Well when we got to court the Asst. Prosecutor AND the judge couldn’t understand why I was being charged with anything…Results…Case dropped with extreme prejudiced…But it took 2 years to get my firearm back.

If this is such a conservative area why is this liberal still the prosecutor? That is an elected office, people. If he is a Republican then get somebody to run against him in the primary and VOTE. If you can’t get him off the Republican ballot then find a good Libertarian to run. If he is a Democrat then vote for the Republican. But the answer is in the vote. Get out and vote or quit whining.

  • jimmimac

this is a conservative area, why then is there a bad prosecutor who should be removed and the cheif of police should be fired!

  • $12994363

All of these fools who think they know what they’re doing, don’t. They need to file away two thousand four hundred seventy-two meters.
