Student Suspended After Disarming Gunman

Student Suspended After Disarming Gunman

I am sure many of you have heard about many instances lately about gun related issues in schools that do not actually involve real guns. Many children have gotten in trouble after drawing guns or making gestures with their hands representing guns, but now there is another example of something similar happening in a high school in Florida.

A 16-year-old high school student in Fort Meyers, Florida was suspended for 3 days for wrestling a loaded gun away from another teen who was threatening to shoot. The 16-year-old tackled a 15-year-old classmate on the school bus after he allegedly pointed the gun at another student.

The student expressed that he felt there was an immediate threat that the student would use the weapon then and there.

According to the referral the student received the following day, he was suspended for his role in an “incident” where a weapon was present and given an “emergency suspension,” the station reported.

The boy’s mother told her son was suspended because he refused to cooperate with the investigation, adding that he was scared.

This whole country is out of hand.No common sense left. The lawyers have completely destroyed us !

  • Benjamin Fox

Stupid is as stupid does and teachers have gone to the front of the class along with their socialist leaders in the unions.

  • gutterfalcon

They should have a Block Party for the Kid. Show him that his neighbors, Community hold him as a Hero. Socialists’ Cirriculum Must be Stopped. This IS America !

  • Frank W Brown

    You can’t fix STUPID!!

  • Judy Ratliff

The liberals and communist in the public schools have been yelling for years to turn in your classmates for wrong doing. Then 2 heros emerge and they bury them. Get your children out of public schools and try for vouchers to private schools. These communist need to go down.

  • Cooleemee Edd

Bravo for the brave young man! Shame on the high school administration and/or the police who intimidated him. He should receive a commendation and a free year at the local shooting range as well!

  • runnindeer

This is bad but today we heard on the news that a smaller boy has been expelled from school” for having eaten his pop tart down to resemble a gun. ” This isn’t a joke. These idiots in the public schools, have decided to punish children if they have a pop tart that looks like a gun. Tell me that the teachers in public schools are not out of their minds? If there is one teacher who reads this post and they can say they are not of this mind set and are not following orders of this extreme Government agenda, then I want to say to that teacher speak out and protest the insanity Now, before this go’s any further.

I guess the old style cap guns are not allowed in this society. But then when these kids grow up they put rifles in their hands and send them off to war to die defending this country. A pop tart gun. Maybe he’ll get a Zit from all that sugar……

      • runnindeer

Yep! It’s just crazy what is going on now. I was surprised that the boy was allowed to eat the pop tart on school grounds . Last week the news showed how children are being told that they are either too thin or too fat and told what to eat so much that there isn’t any middle ground at all left. I feel sorry for children today . Their future doesn’t look very good.

The school system did not suspend him. A PERSON in the school system did. Until we name the stoopids
involved, they will stay blissfully stoopid, and continue making stoopid decisions. It’s time to name names so the people in that community can do their best to get them fired and into a occupation that prevents them from making stoopid decisions. (And Yes, I know how to spell for you ‘spelling gestapo’s’ out there.)

    • MYTAKE8

You left out a couple of o’s. This kind of stupid is spelled STOOOOPID !!! That is how they laarned it in the school that they went to.

  • James Fontana

What in the name of God is wrong with school officials today. I know they are all liberal freaks. My ex-sister-in -law is one of them. She has a PHD and is still dumber than a box of rocks and this is what is running our schools.

  • Sam W

That kid should be getting a real GOOD lawyer and sue the tar out of that school system He potentially saved many innocent student’s lives and what happens? He get suspended. I really think that is Axxine (where x=s). I think the principal should be suspended without pay for his/her actions in this case. Guess the principal would rather have a bunch of bodies in bags.

  • Harry Skip Robinson

Apparently, the 5th amendment does not apply to teens and is either unknown or ignored by the authority that supended him. Go figure, this happening in the good old USSA!!!! United Socialist States of America.

  • jb80538

You just can’t make this stuff up folks!

  • Wes

I thought teachers were against bullying but it seems they are teaching it instead.

  • steve crawford

The youngster refused to Snitch on who had the gun. And his mother supported him not telling the police who had the gun. I agree mostly with all the positive comments. However, the law of some black neighborhoods is you don’t see nothing, hear nothing and don’t tell nothing is a bunch of crap. That is why it is so hard for the police to try to reduce crime in low income black neighborhoods. Yes the boy should be given a celebration for his bravery and for his HEROIC action. Sadly these new school staff members did not obtain “Common Sense” in college, it wasn’t required. . .
