Dorner morphing into an anti-hero?

Posted on: February 11th, 2013

I have, at times, been accused of being somewhat naive when it comes to modern culture, both by family members and readers alike. Perhaps you’re all on to something there, because I certainly never saw this coming. As the search continues for alleged cop killer Christopher Dorner, there is an emerging theme – at least on the West Coast – that perhaps Dorner is some sort of Robin Hood, standing up for the little guy and taking it to the corrupt LA police force.

Support Growing For Former L.A. Officer Accused Of Killing Spree

Dorner lost his job with the Los Angeles Police Department in 2008. His manifesto vows revenge for that; and, surprisingly, thousands of people actually support him.

It’s hard to believe but there are those out there who sympathize with the man targeting police officers.

One Facebook page is proclaiming Dorner for president. “We propose electing a man who could no longer sit idly by and watch as malicious tyrants abuse the innocent.”

The description on “We Are All Chris Dorner” chillingly says, “Yes, this is war.”

The man might have been wronged? That does not give him the right to take the law into his own hands and has committed a crime that he needs to be judged by and for. He was a law officer, will other law officers do the same if ordered too? Can’t trust those who don’t obey what they are called to enforce.

I like to see the same people who think Dorner is such a good person and thinks he should be President .To say that to the familys of the two people that were killed in irvine that nothing to do with Dorner losing his job

The people supporting Dorner must be the same people who believe there is a free lunch. After all, Jabba the Hut (Obama) promised.

I doubt he was wronged . . . both the Police Dept and the Navy canned his butt. The back story was he had a bad eval and then claimed his superior abused a mentally handicapped perp many months before. So that likely makes him a lying murderous liberal loser.

Leave it to the simpleton liberals to make a hero out of a killer/ freak. Idiots.

We taxpayers will not have to suffer a long anxious trial that cost millions and we will have the piece of mind knowing that murdering SOB ain’t gonna rise from the dead….Halleujah bros and sis’s.

Dorners’ methods may have been wrong, but just as there are those who self immolate; bringing attention to their cause, Dorner has brought light to the corruption of the LAPD. I know that SBSD is equally corrupt but what does it take to bring it to light like Dorner has without including innocents who do not deserve to get caught in the middle? How many more innocent civilians will get in the way of the police and become a casualty themselves?

  • tommy2guns

Doner needs to be shot on sieght no questions asked no warrinings no chance to give himself up even if he walks into a ploice station to give himself up he should be shot in the head

Just playing the devil’s advocate here for a second and not in support for this guy in the least, what do we say to the families of all of the innocent victims who were murdered by the police who broke into the wrong house in the middle of the night and shot and killed people who were just rising from their beds to see who had broken in? Were any of the shooters prosecuted for killing innocent people? No. There is nothing heroic about being so stupid as to get the address wrong in a raid of any kind and I’m sure those families have their own opinion about the way the police handled this guy.
