Bruce Willis Speaks Up for the Second Amendment

Bruce Willis is one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars. He’s well known for his roles in the Die Hard films, Red, and The Last Boy Scout. If his upcoming films A Good Day to Die Hard and GI Joe: Retaliation follow the same pattern as much of his work does, they too will contain enough gun play to win a small war or two (quite literally in the latter movie).

Bruce Willis’ characters might take a somewhat unorthodox approach to gun safety and use. But in a recent interview with the Associated Press, it’s become readily apparent he clearly believes in the security of gun ownership set forth by the Second Amendment.

“I think that you can’t start to pick apart anything out of the Bill of Rights without thinking that it’s all going to become undone,” Willis said in the interview, coming out against the new proposed gun control laws. “If you take one out or change one law, then why wouldn’t they take all your rights away from you.”

  • It is interesting that this administration is trying to limit our abilty to purchase guns. The vast majority of citizens in this great country are law abiding citizens. This administration wants to punish “all” of us by passing restrictive gun laws on everyone. That’s like punishing all of my children when just one of them misbehaves. This country is suppose to be the land of the FREE and home of the brave? So why should the “good” people be grouped with the “monsters” that use guns to murder people? It seems to me that this Administration just wants to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I do believe they will find this impossible to enforce. There are already hundreds of millions of guns in this country. They are wrong to think people would everl hand over these guns. Also, you will create a “black market” where the people will buy new guns, “without going through the proper channels, ie; background checks, buying any restricted gun they want, etc., Thus, making normally “law abiding” citizens, criminals! Just doesn’t make any sense! There will always be mass murderers in this great country, no matter what you try to legislate. I really think you know that. You all just don’t want to admit it!

This country is soon becoming another Germany under a Hitler who has done everything Hitler did to become a dictator-in-chief. Obozo read his book and decided since none learn from history he could use it again. Hitler Obozo needs to go back to Kenya and be a sheeple herder, and if they don’t like him? Maybe they will eat him?

    • Obozo read a book all right. It is called “The Communist Manifest”.

He obozo loves Karl Marx and Hilters rise to power. God Bless:

Actually, I think Alinky’s “Rule For Radicals” was his faveorite.

Nice to see some of Hollywood hasn’t been poisoned by the atmosphere there, and isn’t afraid to say so. One of his movies that I especially liked was “Tears of the Sun”.

    • About Citizens Who Didn’t Have The Right To Protect Thenselves

      • Sandra Lee Smith

Not for that reason; but for the fact that the character he portrayed demonstrated what made our military “different” than many even in the field of combat. He DISOBEYED his orders to try to help and protect those people who didn’t have the right to defend and protect themselves, or did you miss that he and his fellows did that? That wasn’t just “Hollywood” that’s been a hallmark of our troops for centuries. Yes there have been black pages in their history too, but that portrayed their best, not their worst. Did you know Patton also disobeyed orders, and crossed into Czechoslovakia, near the end of WWII to rescue some very special HORSES? I know he did, because I was privileged to see their offspring perform on their first tour in the US, or anywhere outside Austria, some 18 years later, offspring who could never have been born, had he not done that.

        • I liked Tears in the Sun also. I think this is what a lot of people in the world hope that Americans will live up to.

They were and are known as The Lippizaners, and I also was privileged to see them more than a few years ago. Snow white stallions, all, their “show” was particularly impressive, and I ain’t even a “horse guy.”

          • Sandra Lee Smith

That’s their breed, but they’re known as the Spanish Riding School of Vienna. The colonel who’d brought it through WWII in tact was still running it that first tour, and Disney did make a movie about the saving of the mares, dramatized a bit of course, but that event did happen, because GEN Patton had been a cavalry man before he moved up to tanks; and I learned to appreciate fine horseflesh early in my life.

  • He used to live in this area of Michigan part time according to what I hear. Locals describe him as polite and desiring only one thing: to be treated like anyone else.

Yes, that is very true and dont think they will not take every right we have if given the chance. And considering how the younger generation has been brought up, it might just happen! Every day when we get up we find they are screaming about something like Guns, Speech, Environmental, anything but what we should be concentrating on such as jobs, debt, Borders etc. And work toward a compromise? No way! And we thought Bush was bad? Not even close to this administration. And these other countries saying the US is this and that wrong, but stand there with their hand out for aid that for some reason never gets to their people… And the list goes on.

    • The government can not take these rights from us. The government didn’t give them to us in the first place. An entity outside of government gave all people these rights. They will always be ours. But government can deny us the ability to exercise our rights. It can reduce us from citizens to subjects, from free men to serfs. The Bill of Rights does not give us anything. It prevents the government from infringing on rights we have simply because we are alive.

If laws which are impossible to comply with are passed, we all become criminals. Then we are easily controlled. Anyone ever read George Orwell’s 1984?

    • The folks in 1984 didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to become mind numbed robots for the State. This happened gradually over decades and several generations. We may be on the road to this today, but we can still stop it.

  • Thanks Bruce for stepping up to plate.
Now how about the rest of yous.

It’s truly amazing that only a few in Hollywood have the guts to stand up and face the rest of them and tell the truth. What Willis said is absolutely true. You start picking at one and it’s like a house of cards they will all come tumbling down, but isn’t that what Obama and his cohorts want?
