Why is government stockpiling guns, ammo?

Is the U.S. government getting ready for a war we don’t know about?

And, if that’s why Washington is stockpiling massive amounts of ammunition (hollow points, by the way), why is Homeland Security doing the buying instead of the Defense Department?

I have some theories.

Many of you will remember a story I broke a long time ago – about presidential candidate Barack Obama’s little-noticed announcement that, if elected in 2008, he wanted to create a “civilian national security force” as big, as strong and as well-funded as the Defense Department.

Here’s what he actually said at a campaign stop in Colorado July 2, 2008: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

    Jacketed hollow points are not legal for combat use according to the Geneva Convention, so who do you think these rounds will be used against.

      Jacketed hollow points are great for home defense. They take out the target without harming a by-stander. You may be who they have in mind.

      Probably something like : If it’s in the U S against the citizens, he won’t label it a WAR, it will be a revolt or rebellion. And the Geneva Convention ( I think ) is for WAR, and Soldiers. So he’ll say he can use hollow points against Americans trying to ” over throw ” the gov.

    It appears – and I believe – that the Obama Administration has been deliberately pushing us toward rebellion by continually flouting the Constitution, and ruling through executive order and oppressive regulation.
    I cannot imagine what good he thinks would come of it; I can only presume he expects to emerge victorious, and that some sort of Marxist Utopia to arise from the ashes.
    But, in any event, if it’s a war against the American people he wants, I’m certain he’ll get it.

      It appears also that he is going to force out all military leadership that will not fire on civilians. Armageddon may be sooner than we thought. It is time for state militias to get ready. A civil war is inevitable if the countries leadership doesn’t change soon. This will not be our choice but the marxist in the white house. I have fought for my country before and if I need to I will again. I just never thought that our biggest enemy would be Washington DC

      Very possible Obama plans on building a militia of sorts who would fire on Americans..as I seriously doubt our own Military would fire on us!!..I definately know that most of Mayor Bloombergs little army of not so bright cops wouldn’t think twice about opening fire on Americans..That is my guess for OBAMY!…so we should hold on dearly to what weapons we own and buy more ammo…..as Obombit well knows its no easy trick to destroy civilians fighting back..!..he’s already trying to disarm our discharged military..!..only big problem I see is that many of us fought in wars ..only most of those like myself are senior citizens w/ maladies!!..and I’m neither conservative nor liberal..just an American!..we just need to educate and stick together,,,my feeling!

    He is definitely pushing the buttons of patriots mistakenly thinking that we will react irrationally and he then can declare Martial Law and totally suspend the Constitional rights for all of us…Hopefully some “Patriot” out there won’t totally lose it and make that happen. The time is coming. We can ill afford to ignore what is happening on a daily basis and realize that we are only being told a small part of the agenda…Prepare yourself and your family…this could get very messy very fast….

      We have the congress who can stop any president of a dictator take over. If congress doesn’t act, then it is left up to we the people, where that stops only time will tell.
      I can say this, it will be a fight worth fight for, unlike some fights this country has been in lately.

    You’d have to be blind not to see that this usurper intention is to disarm us one way or another . Obama is another Hitler getting ready to destroy our liberty once and for all . Have you seen the high school kids in their military gear ? They are not ROTC . Brown is right ; just go to Clifton or Paterson high school . But you won’t see them in Montvale .     Bear in mind that the federal funds YOUR local police receive comes with “strings” attached. “You take this money and when I declare martial law you are OBLIGATED to do as I dictate.” Rest assured, people, your local sheriff will take up arms against you and WILL come to your home to confiscate your guns. After all they will then be the ones with the power to dictate to YOU whatever they choose or are told to do and say. Prepare yourselves for that and trust only those you hold dear. Sadly those days are not far off.

    The Dictator-in-Chief is assembling an army of “Brown Shirts” just as another madman did in the 1930s.     Unfortunately, civilian law does not acrue to the Geneva Convention. Ain’t that special! I’ll add that all three branches of our government are keenly aware of the impending demise of our nation – for which they have been directluy responsible or complicit. In fact, they are SO aware that they EXPECT armed insurrection. Few creatures are more defensive than a cornered rat! They will do whatever it takes to maintain the elitist power structure for which they have labored and prostituted themselves. And like the rats, they DO NOT WISH to die!

    Two possible answers. They’re either as unfamiliar with firearms as their leader is, or they intend to shoot a whole hell of a lot of American citizens. (They’d better correct the former before trying the latter.)

    3/8/2013 at 800PM. I am told that a number of states already have 2nd Amendment Laws being passed
    to deal with this very issue. Penalties appear to be 2 years or more in a State prison
    and more than $2,000.00 fines per violation. It doesn’t matter who is sent to collect
    the guns and do the killing. If our Federal Government insists on a war against
    citizens, it is looking more and more as if they’ll get it. And it won’t be easy to put
    down. This administration is already persona non grata with a lot of folks in Texas.
