This is an individual who made millions portraying a fictional “Green Beret” character (not very well mind you, considering a true “Green Beret” would not have resorted to shooting up and blowing up a town to prove a point – but that doesn’t make good action movies), that has little true knowledge of firearms other than the exaggerated Hollywood mindset, and he’s going to tell us that “you can’t hunt with it”? The AR15 platform is a multi-purpose weapon, used for exhibition, competition, self-defense (just ask DHS), target practice, and HUNTING. Any varmint hunter will verify that this weapon can and is used on a regular basis for that purpose. As a retired “Green Beret”, I can tell you first hand that the only movie that was ever made that comes close to portraying Special Forces soldiers is “The Green Berets” with John Wayne, and the “Green Beret” view on this subject is 180 degrees from Stallone’s. Stallone is just another washed up Hollywood liberal parrot who thinks his opinion matters.

First of all to actually get an assault weapon one needs to get a license a FFL. There are different grades of these license for different assault weapons. The guns that Stallone and all the other sheep state as assault weapons are not assault weapons,but are semi automatic guns that have been around since the late 1800′s. Want to see assault weapons type in your URL GE assault weapons, then you will see a real assault weapon. There is a utube of a weapon that fires one million rounds a minute. Semiauto maybe +/- 100 rounds per minute if you are fast at switching out magizines. Heck the Warthog fires 30mm cannon shells at a rate of over 3000 per minute. Comparing semi to full auto is like comparing hammering a nail with a hammer or the use of a nail gun. Both use nails but with the nail gun you could drive thousands of nails a day where as with a hammer several hundred if you are good with a hammer.
