Status Update on Federal Gun Control Bills

Following the president’s call to action for stricter gun laws, federal lawmakers in the senate are beginning to roll out gun control measures intended to curb gun violence and prevent mass shootings.

High-Capacity Magazines

On Tuesday, Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) reintroduced a bill that would ban high-capacity magazines, essentially any feeding device that holds more than 10 rounds.

“The latest tragedy in Newtown was a wake up call for our nation, and now we must now turn our grief into action to reduce further tragedies. It is clearer than ever that there is no place in our communities for military-style supersized magazines like those used inside Sandy Hook Elementary School, in Aurora, and in Tucson, and I will keep working to reinstate the ban on them,” said Senator Lautenberg in a press release.

    The representatives must have forgotten their history. The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting, self-defense, sport shooting or just plan old target practice. It is about keeping big government in check. That is why so many representatives want to do away with law-abiding citizens owning firearms. This Laurenberg, Feinstein, Bloominassberg, Cosmo, Obarry and Biden need to be charged with treason. This is an act of treason, plain and simple, and congress has no balls to do anything about it.
    I believe we are in for a civil war and congress is not going to do anything to stop Obarry.

    NO THANKS! I rather like the 20 + 1 in my Sig. Carrying a personal protective device isn’t about killing…it’s about survival. Suppressive fire equals time for distance and cover and two more mags brings the total to 61. I’m not a gambler, but understand the odds.

    Yes Senator Lautenberg, I sincerely hope you and your anti-gun buddies do keep up working to illegally and unconstitutionally enforce your will on others on such matters. This only challenges the lawful, law abiding patriotic U.S. citizens to work even harder to create and design ever more advanced and newer technologies to undo the crimes against us you and your friends push into law and then for us to spread these newer designs and build them. Thank you for supporting American “non-criminal” enginuity. Keep creating and passing illegal, illigitimate and unconstitutional laws and we will keep creating more weapons and attachments not covered by your laws until you and your buddies are finally removed from office for your many crimes against the citizens of our republic and against our nation and U.S. Constitution.     Here is a link to a film that is highly relevent that I hope everybody here watches to the end (where the most important information is) and then passes along widely. While the film is from the group “Anonymous;” a group I have long thought was being set up to be a government black ops disinformation and manipulation group, there is nothing is this film that I disagree with in any way. This is something everyone; citizen, non-citizen, and government should see.
