Colt Marine Pistol

Posted on: January 15th, 2013

Colt has once again placed one of its 1911s at the side of America’s armed forces, this time with the Colt Marine Pistol. After a rigorous selection process, the Colt Rail Gun was selected to be the latest sidearm of the United States Marine Corps—marking the first time a Colt 1911 has been shipped to the United States Government since the end of World War II.

The Marine Pistol stands out with a Desert Tan cerakoted stainless steel receiver and slide, and sports Novak 3 Dot Night Sights. It’ll be available to civilians in limited quantities through the Colt Custom Shop.

Save for time when US military went to Beretta for side arms, we;ve had Colts since the 1890s to the 80s & now back for 2012.
Hope they improve model IE add these calibers: 9mm, 40mm, 22 cal, 22 Magnum, .357 Magnum.
    Be awesome.
