Biden promised Boston Mayor that Obama will pass sweeping firearms reforms by end of January

Sounds like the ‘comprehensive solution’ that Biden’s ‘mass shootings’ commission is working on will revolve almost exclusively around sweeping gun control. Ugh.

Vice President Joe Biden “guaranteed” Mayor Thomas M. Menino — a leading national gun control advocate — that President Obama will pass sweeping firearms reforms by the end of the month, the mayor said today.

“He said, ‘Tommy, I guarantee you, we’ll get it done by the end of January,’” Menino said at City Hall today. “They’re going to get it done.”

The mayor, who has been recovering from a host of ailments for the past two months, said Biden called him several times while he was in the hospital, including a call after the Newtown school massacre to discuss gun control.

    In response to Biden’s promise. I promise never to allow myself to be disarmed.

    The Second Amendment, “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” was put in our Bill of Rights directly after the amendment that protects our right to freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of the press because it is that important. If we ever lose the Second Amendment, the First Amendment will soon follow. So, if you think that the Second Amendment was added to ensure that we had the right to hunt or shoot for sport, you are sadly mistaken. It was added to give us the means to overthrow our own government if they become too overbearing or oppressive.

    Let’s look at an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government”. This is the reason the Founders placed our right to “keep and bear arms” only after our rights to free speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of the press. As long as we have the Second Amendment, we will have the First.

    Currently, there are more than 270 Million guns owned by citizens of the US. That means that, of the estimated 310 Million citizens, there are approximately 88 guns for every 100 people. And, these are
    the guns that the government knows about. Most states do not require citizens to register their guns so; I would wager that the 270 Million is a considerably low estimate. This is not to say that more than 270 Million people own a gun. A large number of gun owners own more than one gun. It is estimated that 49% of US households have guns. Again, I believe that estimate to be on the low side.

    Now, should the government attempt to overstep their bounds and prohibit the citizens of this country from owning a gun, I fear that that little clause in the Declaration of Independence will come into play. “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government”.

    I grew up saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” every morning. My father served in WWII, my brother served in Vietnam, and, during my 22 years of service I served in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I swore an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” and that oath only expires on my death. I, along with Millions of other gun owning, America loving citizens would die before we allow our rights to be taken away or our country to be turned into an oppressive oligarchy or

    So, if the government wants to take our guns, they are going to have to take them by force and, many of the people who they will send out to take them feel the same way and will no doubt refuse to do so. All you have to do is look at history. Before every single oppressive dictatorship was instituted, the people were first disarmed. It will not happen here!

    I can guarantee that Biden and his boss will deeply regret when that day comes. They must be stockpiling soap, how else do they plan on washing all the blood off their hands. While things are calm BO & JB need to work on the letters and speeches they will be giving to the families of all the deceased that were brain dead enough to try implementing the Libturd agenda.

    Did “Ole Joe” promise the Boston Mayor that he would kick the Boston Police Association President off the task force too, since his son was sentenced for planning on blowing up and blowing away kids at the high school…not to mention using his own dad’s police gun as well. Nice goin Joe that’s the kind of people you want on your commission especially when the Cops kid only gets 6 months for this kind of crime, you’ve got to be kidding?
