Obama calls on public to lobby Congress on gun restrictions

President Obama will observe a moment of silence at 9:30 a.m. today at the White House, marking one week since a lone gunman opened fire in a Connecticut elementary school, killing 20 first graders before turning a gun on himself.

And he pledged in a video that he’d do everything in his power as president to address safety, mental health issues and the culture of violence that may have contributed to the tragedy.

“If there’s even one thing we can do as a country to protect our children, we have a responsibility to try,” the president said.

    Obama also said that most gun owners agree with him, that more gun control is required. But’ we know, by now, that Obama is a pathological liar who will do or say anything to further his misguided agenda to diminish American liberties.

      Gun control only makes it harder for the law abiding citizen. The criminals DO NOT abide by the law. They could care less!. So it is US law abiding citizens that get crushed by these ridiculous laws that the criminals ignore anyhow. Maybe we ARE to the point that everyone should be required to have a side arm strapped to their body to enforce the law…..

    How about all the lives that GUNS save? We never seem to hear very much from our Obama media, about this subject. Guns only kill because a human is usually tthe trigger. But a lot of gun owners have also saved many lives, including police officers also. Jeez, Obama has started al lot of trouble, and he’s not even a legal sitting president. IMPEACHMENT is long overdue for this Illegal/Muslim/Fraud/SOB, who wants to do one main thing, bankrupt the U.S. and make the citizenry dependent on the government.
