BREAKING: CheaperThanDirt Suspends ALL Firearm Sales

BREAKING: CheaperThanDirt Suspends ALL Firearm Sales

CheaperThanDirt announced via Facebook only minutes ago that they are suspending all firearms sales. The company is best known for their sales of ammunition and firearms accessories, but had only recently begun selling actual firearms as well. The company posted their decision on their Facebook page with text as follows . . .

Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories.

It looks like this may simply be a temporary suspension of sales, but given the recent news about Freedom Group I’m not holding my breath. The backlash was both quick and vitriolic on their Facebook page:

No Balls. These companies have no balls. There are millions of gun owners. CTD is going to lose alot of customers over this. Ione of them. I can buy my ammo elsewhere.

  • jeepdude911

I was going to buy from CTD. I didn’t. I went around the corner just this morning and bought an M&P 40 at my local retailer. No balls, no customers.

    • Lance E. Fontanne

I just now heard this, and like jeepdude911 I was going to buy from them, but now I will not buy anything at all, ever, from them!!! All they are doing is caving in to Obama!

  • Idadho

Maybe with Dick’s and CTD bowing out, the local dealers will have access to inventory of the harder to find guns.

  • jerry sweet

cheaper than dirt can just go cheaper to bankruptcy.cowards!

  • Kenneth Kirkham

Traitors. Another company to go out of business…good by CheaperThanDirt

  • I’m ready when you all are

  • 2War Abn Vet

Gutless! I hope my fellow citizens don’t fall in line with this Liberal/Socialist push to deprive us of our essential liberties.

  • Big BobG

That’s ok…I’d rather give a local shop my business. It may cost a little more, but I’m supporting a company that stil believes in the 2nd Amendment

  • conservative

It didn’t take you long to sell out.

  • http://facebook tincanman

Ordered some things from them last month, beat me to death on shipping, willnot order from them again now that they are PC sell-outs.

  • WesTexan

Once you give in to the Nazis, they’ll never stop hounding you until you’re out of the business. Have a gun sale, and send the proceeds to the families of the victims. Do something meaningful!

  • fliteking

I’d like to have 2 cheaperthandirts , one to ŜhiŤ on and the other to cover it up with.

Try for your ammo, I use them, great pricing and box-over shipping.

  • richard

Ok I hope they can make it selling string to left wing idiots, I for one am finished with them, I do NOT have facebutt so guess I will not be able to tell them, but oh well.

  • Tank

Eh, CTD isn’t really cheaper than dirt… I find the same ammo deals at my local Walmart, and watch sales at Cabela’s and Bass Pro. Then I can pay cash and not have some Gubment yahoo checking up on my ammo purchases..

  • Work2SnowSki

They will have to literally give stuff away to get me to go to them and the same with Dick’s.

  • Jay

CTD is not as cheap as they advertise. If you order two items and they come from two different warehouses, they double the S&H. I’ll stick with Ammo To Go. thank you.

  • Chris

I’ve found to be a good ammo source.

  • TX_Soldier254

What the Heck does CTD has to do with what happened in Sandy?
CTD you have turned your back on those that are 2nd Amendment Americans.

They actually scrubbed guns from their site Friday. Just published this BS excuse Tuesday ..

  • zeprin

I ‘USED TO” do business with them. Not anymore.

  • Vic Bailey

One more company this Socialist Government has put out of business. COWARDS! They don’t deserve my business! Semper Fi.

  • Darius the Mede

No more visits to Cheaper Than Dirt for me. If they can’t stand for our rights as Americans (2nd Amendment), then I want to have nothing to do with them.d

  • PaulE

I’m not surprised, Cheaper Than Dirt “price Gouge” every time there is a run on ammo or some kind of threat to gun owners. They are only my last ditch place to shop.
