Charleston man shoots half-naked home intruder

Police say a West Side homeowner shot a Culloden man after he found him half-naked eating at his kitchen table Saturday morning.

Jack Boggess, of 7th Avenue, called Kanawha County Metro 911 at about 3 a.m. and told dispatchers he shot Darin Lanning, 33, in the shoulder after he found him in his kitchen, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Lanning had allegedly kicked in Boggess’ door and entered his home, the complaint states. Lanning had taken off his cowboy boots, jeans and coat, and was closing the refrigerator door when Boggess was woken up, Charleston Police wrote in the complaint.

I have three words for this kind of situation: Shoot to kill. If this guy broke into my house, I would have given him a one way ticket to a spot in front of the Judgement Seat, as is my right under the Castle Doctrine.

This turd is lucky the locals weren’t calling for a body bag instead of an ambulance. Just wondering what would have happened if he broke into a waco liberals house?

Hats off to you Jack. You had must have had a quiver….otherwise you would have hit him right between the eyes. This is going to start happening more & more due to loss of jobs and hunger pangs. I like the fact my dogs bark at the drop of a pin. Those thieves in the night will certainly meet their maker at my home. Come & get it boys….lead is on the menu.
