Man pulls gun on rowdy line-cutting Black Friday shopper at San Antonio mall

Black Friday got off to a rowdy start at South Park Mall where police say one shopper pulled a gun on another shopper at Sears.

According to a San Antonio police report, a 33-year-old man was punched in the face by another man who allegedly pushed his way to the front of the line around 9 p.m. Thursday.

The store opened to early Black Friday shoppers at 8 p.m.

Black Friday is a scam, but less of a scam than regular days. Most products are sold over 100% what they really cost to make, and most products are built not to last…so you have to buy something to replace it.
I can understand, in this economy, people trying to save money while still buying things they really don’t need. My brother-in-law made it a point to tell me what he was buying his boy, my nephew, for Christmas, and passed on that I could buy some games to put in it.
I don’t buy toys run by electricity or batteries any more. I buy books, board games and art supplies…which end up being played more usually, like the boxes I stored to put together and make a ‘house’, ‘car’, ‘drive thru’, ‘rocket ship’, etc that I spent years working with my niece and nephews in using their imagination…to the point my niece, now 12 told me at Thanksgiving she wished I had those boxes still.
Thanksgiving, use to mean giving thanks to God, and actually lasted for three days (fasting before the feast for weeks in prayer was normal, praying and giving thanks to God use to be the reason for a holiday (holy day), not making a profit, causing harm through greed and entitlement of arrogance, as this article shows just one man causing. At least for me, Thanksgiving will be a day of prayer, thoughts of family here and long gone, good food, raking leaves into a pile for my niece (still) and nephews (will be doing this for many years) to jump in to, run and slide in to and toss them on each other. Memories that will long last over any Black Friday. God Bless.
