Woman does a 180 and becomes hooked on hunting

Monica Vollmer knew what she was getting herself into when she married Mick.

Her husband was a hard-core hunter who spent as much time in the woods as life would allow.

But she never thought she’d trade in her business suits and dresses for camouflage coveralls.

“He’s been a hunter all his life and brought it with him when we got married,” said Monica, a Virginia Beach girl now living in Chesapeake. “Over the years, he kept telling me that I needed to try it. But I told him I wasn’t going to go out in the middle of the woods, and there was no way I could ever kill anything.”

I have the opposite story. My daughter in law is an avid hunter and fisher. To look at her you’d think “ornamental blond”, but she hunts bow, black powder, and rifle, does her own field dressing and butchering.
Since they’ve been married, my boy has bought a small arsenal of rifles and shotguns and rigged his boat with just about every possible fishing accessory. This is a boy that lived for motorcycles and racing ATVs
