Bear hunting tips for the upcoming season

If you’re planning to go bear hunting during the upcoming season, here’s a story that should interest you.

According to the Outdoor Hub Newswire, two men were deer hunting last week in Medford, Oregon when they spotted a bear. Since both had bear tags, they both fired at the bear and hit it in its abdomen. Since the bear appeared deceased, both men approached the bear. But when they got closer they discovered they didn’t finish the job.

Evidently the bear was only in shock from the hits that caused it to lie down in a meadow. When the men came up to it, the bear startled awake and grabbed at the one hunter. A tussle ensued; the bear bit the hunter on the right side of his body and injured his arm and hand. Then the bear pulled him into a bear hug according to Outdoor Hub. The two rolled down a 50-foot embankment with the other hunter in hot pursuit. When they stopped rolling, the pursuing hunter killed the bear with a shot to its head.
