PETA to Protestors: Harass Hunters. Illegally.

There was no denying that PETA opposes hunting. Now the animal rights group also is on record urging people to violate laws —make that hunter harassment laws. In an October 9, 2012 blog posting, PETA urges its minions to: “Help counter the cruelty of hunting in your area: Post “No Hunting” signs on your land and that of sympathetic neighbors and friends, join or form a local anti-hunting group, protest organized hunts, and spread deer repellent or human hair (from barber shops) near hunting areas. Also, before supporting any wildlife or conservation group, make sure that it opposes hunting.” . . .

Fortunately for hunters, these tactics constitute hunter harassment, a practice that is illegal in all fifty states and also on federal land. The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance (USSA) championed the enactment of these laws during the 1980’s and 1990’s in response to a campaign entitled “Hints for Hunt Saboteurs” by the anti-hunting organization, Friends of Animals.

PETA does not even take into account the fact that there are thousands of Americans who hunt and fish for food for their table, NOT as an elective hobby, but because they NEED to in order to FEED their family through the winter months..and also through the rest of the year as well.

  I agree with you 100%, but you have to understand that PETA would rather have the people starve than hurt animals. In their minds, a dead human is much preferred than food on the table.

PETA only wish’s that they could even come close to raising the amount of money that hunters & Fishermen pay into conservation efforts each year thru licenseing and donations! Not to mention the thousands of acres of land that is tied up in hunting lease’s that keeps these places as a refuge for all animals! It’s a fact that without hunters the animal population in this country would suffer horribly. The game management that our states do is totally paid for thru hunting & fishing fees! If PETA really cared about game management and the welfare of the animal population in this country they would celebrate the hunters & fishermen as the single largest supporters of Game & Fish Conservation! Instead they would ruin the entire system with rampant overgrowth & sickness, mass kills do to crop damage and poisonings, and interbreeding that would devistate the bloodlines. PETA is a bunch of uninformed idiots with an idea and NO IDEA how to best make a real positive impact on Game & fish in our country!

Just another bunch of OWN types that don’t have anything better to do with their lives and probably don’t even have pets !! I hunt for the food aspect. I prefer certain type game animals and also respect those animals. I also will fight to protect my own pets because they are more like family.

And if any of these clowns get hurt or worse they will naturally blame it on the hunters. I hope all these pro PETA people keep in mind that PETA has killed more animals needlessly than any responsible hunter.
