A tale of the ‘two Washingtons’

What some might call a textbook case of gun law insanity is currently unfolding in Washington, D.C., and for residents of what Northwest natives prefer to call “the real Washington,” it is a stark example of regulatory extremism.

The Washington Times Monday morning tells the tale of Dwayne Hogue, a law-abiding citizen tripped up by a gun law that would never pass muster in the Evergreen State, with the possible exception of the City of Seattle’s far-left leadership, and perhaps some folks at Washington Ceasefire. Hogue got arrested essentially for being honest.

His tale draws a stark contrast between Washington, D.C. and Washington State, two Washingtons divided by far more than 3,000 miles of terrain.
