Obama told to back off U.N. gun treaty

Over 100 members of Congress appear to share the concerns of a former Army general who has sounded the alarm over efforts by the Obama Administration to push through the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, or ATT.

As WND reported, retired Lt. Gen. William Boykin earlier this year, in a video in which he claimed Obama was leading America down the path of a quiet, Marxist revolution, blasted the ATT, also known as the small arms treaty, saying it would regulate private gun ownership.

    There will always be the idiot that picks up a gun, whether legal or not, and do something horrible that no one wants to hear happen. We all suffer from things like this that happen and we all feel loss and sorrow for those that are affected by this. But if a person like this takes it upon himself to do such a horrible act like this, taking away the guns from responsible law abiding citizens will NOT STOP such things from happening. These people will find a way to get their hands on guns illegally one way or the other.. If you take away guns from the responsible legal citizens, all you have done is allow the criminal to have advantage over those people that would normally have a way to defend themselves against such horrible acts. Let the legal public keep their guns and do not try to take our 2nd. Amendment away from us..Please do not do such a terrible thing to the American public..they will fight to keep this right..

      as long as most people think the 2nd Amendment is about self protection, that only helps those wanting to destroy that right, the 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with self protection but “Being Necessary for the Security of a FREE State”……to enable Americans to depose a current government we see as over reaching, out of control and tyrannical

        ok john,the overthrow of an oppressive govt is the biggest example of self defense. after that,read the contemporary papers/writings (personal and private) of the founders and their supporters and you’ll find that the 2nd ammendment had self defense almost exclusively as its
        reason for inclusion. the 2nd am. I S all about self defense.also there is nothing wrong or insidious about self defense.it is natural. john, with all due respect,and i mean that. you are a difficult man to follow/understand

    They can pass any kind of Laws they want!! Makes no difference to us, we already have Our Law WE go by………It’s called the Constitution!! If they Outlaw the Guns, only the “Law Abiding” will turn them in, which will turn otherwise Honest People into Criminals, which is their intent!!     How much more treasonous actions from O’Bama are we going to take? This N!@#$, should never have gotten into the position of the presidency to begin with. With little, or hardly any background check. This ILLEGAL/MUSLIM/FRAUD/SOB, should never have been put into the presidency to begin with. O’Bama should have been taken out a long time ago, in fact when he took the oath of office he lied, when he said he’s uphold our constitution, he should have been removed right then and there. Remember not to far back, when they jailed Martha Stewart, and Rod Blagoyovich for lying. And here we let let this unkown vagabond, O’Bama sit as our ongoing president for another term, THIS IS HARD TO BELIEVE, that in this country there are so many people, that will vote for handouts from our government to decide on who, and or how to vote. The BLACKS leading the way, with the downfall of our nation, have become the biggest handouts in our History.       He will get away with what he wants as long as BOTH Democrats AND Republicans protect him from investigations, impeachment, prosecution for several laws including Treason… The ONLY way he has gotten away with it over the last 4 years is because BOTH Parties are protecting and shielding him..     the 5th collumn ‘mongst us.after exhausting legal avenues to dis arm america and stomp on the constitution now finally think (and are repremanding themselves for not thinking of it sooner) they can get the international community — the u.n.– to do it for them. they,as always, sorely underestimate the american people. this admin also freely admits they need help doing their job by asking the u.n. to step in.
