Google Censors Firearms Products in Shopping Search Results

Posted on: June 29th, 2012

Google’s unofficial motto of “don’t be evil” is being heavily scrutinized by firearms enthusiasts following the release of a letter the company sent out to merchants using its Google Shopping service. The email informs sellers that the service is becoming a commercial operation; this means that merchants can pay money to have their products show up first in Google Shopping search results.

Along with this change came an announcement which informed merchants that “weapons” and “weapon accessories” (including things like hunting rifles and ammunition) would no longer show up in Google Shopping results. Officially, Google has said that “Our Company has a strong culture and values, and we’ve chosen not to allow ads that promote products and services that are incompatible with these values.”

They have it backwards-like most left leaning mindsets.  America and its values, which includes 2nd Amendment
benefits of purchasing guns & ammo, etc, have been here much longer than Google.  I maintain that Google is incompatible with America!!  I’ve never used Bing but now looks like a good time to switch.  There is something that “goes against the grain” when I give support and money to a group who is so anti-American.  Google is gone.

When is this going into effect ?? I just used Google and typed in Ammunition – the first sight was Ammunition to go followed by listings of at least a half of dozen Gun Shops in the area along with directions to get to them.

What has the world come to now??????????

Are they not going to allow cars, motorcycles & trucks/pickups and their associated
    accessories to!!??
They kill many Thousands more humans each year than privately own firearms!!!!!!!!!!!

Next they will probably not allow pencils because they cause writing mistakes and spoons because they make people fat!!!!!

I don’t own a gun so have no need to use Google for that purpose but I don’t use that site anyway.  I think I read somewhere that they are co-operating with the feds to track your searches.  That was enough for me.

Google is the one with little values.  They obviously have no respect for the Constitution and 2A.  These people are self-centered liberals, of whom I have no use!  All gun owners – cease from using Google!
