It’s not a record, but it is still pretty amazing. Ryan Armatrout spent three hours wrestling this 11-foot-long, 700-plus pound white sturgeon on the Colombia River in the Hanford Reach National Monument.
These prehistoric fish are absolute monsters, and it blows my mind that they still populate so many rivers in the US. Here’s to hoping conservation will allow the population to grow, and generations to come to enjoy these awesome fish.
