“Gabby, women leaders launch the bipartisan ‘women’s coalition for common sense,’” the Orwellian-named Americans for Responsible Solutions announced Wednesday. “The announcement of the new coalition came at the start of a day-long ‘Domestic Violence Awareness Summit’ in the nation’s capital attended by over 100 women from around the country.”
Shoot, we had over four times that many people just at the Arizona Citizens Defense League meeting last Saturday, and we didn’t have a “progressive feminist” police chief (one who filed a workplace harassment suit and lives with her sergeant) flying in on the taxpayer dime. But then again, that’s because the grassroots is self-financed by individuals, as opposed to AstroTurf efforts funded by the elites, who, populist platitudes notwithstanding, really don’t trust the hoi polloi with anything resembling the true egalitarian power sharing afforded by the right to keep and bear arms.
You know what else we didn’t have in Tucson? Besides a globalist cleaning woman…?
“Authorized Journalists” giving tons of free publicity. The Google News feed for Gabby, compared with virtually no mentions — not even local ones — for the AZCDL meeting, tells us citizens banding together to promote and defend rights just isn’t a priority for our “watchdog press.” On the other hand, establishment opportunists curtailing rights for their own purposes, disguising their scheming as “commonsense safety measures,” is. Anyone who would argue that citizen activists preparing to take on the powerful Bloomberg machine is not a story is either a useful idiot or a liar — especially when it will soon be clear to all that the little control freak covets Arizona as the jewel in his crown, and will pull out all stops to get it.
Part of Gabby’s launch was to announce a “Protect All Women Tour,” starting Oct. 14 in Portland, OR [correction: ME], and running through to Oct. 22, with stops in Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington State.
