Good job young man.
A teenager in North Las Vegas, Nevada, kept himself and his younger siblings safe from an attempted home invasion last week by aiming a loaded rifle at one of the perpetrators, who wised up and fled the scene.
Andrew Mason, 14, was home alone with his brother and sister, both of whom are 6 years old, when at least two people broke into the house. Andrew’s dad, Kiewa Mason, told KVVU that he supports the 2nd Amendment and that he had prepared Andrew for situations like this one.
“I believe in the right to bear arms, and it’s not like he was foreign to it,” he said. “We go to the shooting range quite often. We go to the Clark County shooting range quite often. We go to Range 702.”
For his part, Andrew certainly seems to have handled everything with poise and decisiveness.
“I went upstairs and grabbed my brother and told him to hide in the closet. I grabbed a cellphone off my dad’s dresser, grabbed my rifle and hid in the closet with my brother,” he told KVVU.
