A Family’s ‘Gun’ Was Confiscated at the Airport for What Friends Say Is an ‘Unbelievable’ Reason

Beware the dreaded Minion fart gun.

Universal Pictures’ “Minions” is one of the goofiest animation films around, so you might think there’s no way anything from the movie could be taken as a threat, right?

Well, think again.

A Dublin toddler learned the hard way that airport security takes all precautions when it comes to guns, when his Minions Fart Blaster toy was confiscated for posing a “threat.”

A friend of the family commented on the situation, while posting a picture of the toy gun:

A Dublin Airport spokesman told The Independent that:

“Toy guns and replica guns are on the prohibited items list and we urge people to check this before they travel.

“We don’t make the rules but we apply the rules consistently; anything that is a replica gun with a trigger mechanism on it is listed as a prohibited item.”
