Seattle Has Gang Problem, Not Gun Problem, Says CCRKBA

Seattle’s recent spike in violence and murder has more to do with gangs and the tolerance of a “thug culture” than it does with firearms ownership, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today, in response to a remark from a police official.

Seattle Deputy Police Chief Nick Metz is quoted in a newspaper asserting, “A person who has a gun is more likely to use a gun.”

The only response to Gang Violence is the ability to defend oneself. Banning guns only gives more rights to the criminals who are not bothered by trivial things like gun laws.

“A person who has a gun is more likely to use a gun.” Wow! What a brilliant finding by Deputy Police Chief Nick Metz. I wonder how much thought went into his analysis before he came to this remarkable declaration. “A person who has a gun is more likely to use a gun,” as opposed to what, a person who does not have a gun? What a genius! Of course, Deputy Chief Metz fails to include in his brilliant analysis that a person who is armed is more capable of defending themselves than one who is not armed, also.

Wow, great analogy. Next thing you know, he’ll say something like, someone who drives a car is more likely to use it. Holy crap, stop the presses, alert the media we have a story here. What a fricken moron.

“A person who has a gun is more likely to use a gun.” Well, duh! If you don’t have one, of course you won’t use it! How hard is that to understand?
