PETA looks to post a corpse-themed billboard ad in Hamilton, Ont., after woman hid husband’s body for months

PETA has a reputation for over-the-top brand of public relations.

A global animal rights group is trying to rent out a billboard in Hamilton, Ont., after one local woman kept her husband’s body for six months while she prayed for his resurrection.

PETA said in a news release Thursday that it’s working with advertisers to post a billboard that will read: “Are there corpses in your home? Time to go vegan.”

“If you have chicken breasts, steaks, or bologna in your refrigerator, we have news for you: You’re sharing your home with corpses,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk was quoted as saying in the release.
