‘Bloody Tracks’ and Slow Painful Deaths: PETA Opposes Avon Lake Bow Hunting

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has issued an “action alert” opposing bow hunting in Avon Lake after reading this article on Avon Lake Patch on an anti-bow hunting group forming.

The alert says, “Your voice is needed!” and urges supporters to contact Avon Lake leaders by email.

“Bowhunting is among the cruelest forms of hunting,” the alert said. “Bowhunters often spend hours following bloody tracks before finding wounded deer. Many are not found, and their deaths are slow and painful. It can take weeks for them to succumb to their injuries. Families are then torn apart, and young and weak animals starve or die of dehydration.”

OF course instead of asking to educate young hunters on proper hunting and tracking thechnique they want an all out ban.
    Losers.

PETA obviosly know nothing about hunting in general. Deer do not make or have “families,” and do not have young still dependent on the mother by the time of hunting season. In fact, that is the time when they are breeding in order for the fawns to be born in spring, to grow to adults by the fall. Plus, an experienced hunter whether bow OR rifle will do their best to make a clear, quick death shot. The statement that an animal  will live for weeks after being shot is totally false. They will bleed out long before that. I do not, and will not ever support such an uninformed and ignorant organization. These people need to find a productive purpose in life, and stop meddling in things that they know nothing about.
