Marian Thompson could bring exotic animals back if quarantine is lifted

Is Marian Thompson’s Kopchak Road farm ready to house exotic animals once again?

Thompson and her attorney would say yes, according to documents released Friday by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

But officials with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium paint a completely different picture, one of improper cages and unsanitary and inhumane conditions.

Thompson, the widow of Terry Thompson, never has publicly stated what she intends to do with her five remaining exotic animals should she get them back from the zoo. But the ODA documents hint she might be planning to bring them right back home to Zanesville.
